Support the Amateur Radio Parity Act of 2015….

When I was in Dayton for the Hamvention, I attended the ARRL Expo. It was there that I learned about the Amateur Radio Parity Act of 2015, AKA HR 1301.

HR 1301 has been introduced in the US Congress as a requirement for the FCC to create and implement rules relating to the reasonable accommodation of Amateur Radio to cover private land use restrictions.

My take on HR 1301 is that it would bolster PRB-1 and add deed restrictions and CC&R’s to the protections provided by PRB-1.

The ARRL is asking their members to contact their Congressperson and to ask them to sign on to the bill as a co-sponsor. The ARRL is asking amateurs to send a letter to your member of Congress via the ARRL.

You can find out more about HR-1301 on the ARRL website at this URL:

I think this is an incredibly important piece of legislation and I will support the ARRL 100% and carry out my part of their request. You should consider doing the same!

What do you think?
