The Intrepid-DX Group is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2nd annual “Intrepid Spirit Award”. We are pleased to have received so many worthy nominations to consider.

This year’s award goes to a notable Dxer and Dxpeditioner that we have come to respect and admire greatly, Mr. Eric Hall-K9GY/T6MO. This award is to recognize Eric’s outstanding efforts to activate Afghanistan during his tour of duty as a US Army reservist, making over 41,000 contacts.

We acknowledge Eric’s pursuit of operating excellence and his quest to activate the rare and often dangerous entities. It is for these reasons that we honor him with our Intrepid Spirit Award, to be presented by David Collingham-K3LP at the Dayton Hamvention on May 16th, 2014.

This “Intrepid-Spirit Award” is made in memory of our fallen friend and member, James McLaughlin, T6AF who was killed in Kabul, Afghanistan just three years ago this month.

Thank you,

Paul S. Ewing

President, The Intrepid-DX Group
